 New wheels will be going round and round as school districts around the province receive new buses.


 The province announced Tuesday it will distribute $10.5M to 32 school 
districts to replace old buses in their fleets with new, cost-effective

The B.C. government has selected an industrial park between Oliver and Penticton as the site for a new prison.  Premier
 Christy Clark made the announcement in Osoyoos Monday, saying the $200 
million project will provide economic benefits for the South Okanagan

A slight correction to Mr. Rolke's numbers in that 'a guy who uses 140 cubic meters of water per quarter would hit the 17% level. ' NOT 140,000 m3. (Actually 140m3 = 140,000 litres )

The pieces are coming together but public support is required to make Vernon’s heritage chime.  An authentic pendulum has arrived at the Greater 
Vernon Museum — the last major item needed to restore the clock that was
 in Vernon’s 1912 post office and most recently in the tower on 31st

 Water rates in Greater Vernon are going
 up by 17 per cent.  Vernon Mayor Rof Sawatzky says the board has agreed

  There are changes underway at North Okanagan landfills. The Regional District of North Okanagan board has approved a new fee schedule which takes effect Wednesday.

The Sturgis North organization is confirming its second
 event – a music festival, motorcycle rally and motorcycle trade show 
and exhibition –  has a new location at the MotoPlex Speedway and Events
