Wardens at B.C.'s Banff National Park say the camp is nearly at capacity this Victoria Day long weekend despite a recently imposed liquor ban, and they haven't had a single noise complaint. The weekend marks the first time Parks Canada has prohibited alcohol in the park, and coordinator Heidi Perren says it a great success so far. "We've had a great turnout here considering it's a little bit chilly," Perren said."It's not too bad if you dress for it, and our full hook-up section on the RV side is totally full." Booze was also banned at two other national parks in the province, Yoho and Kootenay. Perren says the ban will continue throughout the summer, but only on long weekends.

When did we annex Banff? Did Alberta give it up without a fight? I must have missed that news story.
