Coldstreamer Points Out Discrepancy in Proposed Water Bylaw

COLDSTREAMER:

Please review the proposed bylaw at the above link and comment to your representatives if you find something not to your liking. Note the Maximum daily allocation of 3.5 cubic meter per day (** on the bottom of the page). That is a significant change!

Upon further examination it appears that there is an error either in the bylaw or in Schedule A. The Bylaw text actually refers to the maximum daily allowance as 6.0 cubic meter (page 5, item g).

Don Quixote Note: This is a daily Residential allocation that is being discussed. Impossible to police and more a symbolic target than an enforceable allocation.

Talk about a discrepancy...

According to the proposed bylaw, RDNO is NOT LIABLE for
(a) the use of water from the water system,
(b) the failure to supply any or an insufficient amount of water,
(c) any impurity, or
(d) lack of adequate or any water pressure.

If RDNO is not liable for the use of water from the water system, why should RDNO tell us what we can and cannot do with that water?

How about a bylaw that tells us what responsibilities RDNO does take?

And please, can anyone tell me exactly what "recycled water" is? This is referred to multiple times, but not defined, in the proposed bylaw.
