Vernon man's whereabouts unknown

Friends are concerned about the well-being of Vernon man Garry Kurbis, who failed to show up for work Wednesday, and has not been seen or heard from since Tuesday.

Vernon RCMP are requesting the public's help in finding a local man. The police office received a call Wednesday from a concerned friend that Garry Kurbis did not show up for work. Kurbis, 52, was last seen on Tuesday when he left his residence in his 1994 white Dodge Dakota pickup truck with license plates 3544NH. All attempts by the police and friends to find him so far have been unsuccessful. Garry’s friends and the police are concerned about his well-being. They are asking anyone who may know where Garry is to contact them. Kurbis is described as five-foot-six, weighs 139 -pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. At this time there is no indication where he could have gone so he could be could be anywhere in the province. Anybody with any information is asked to call the Vernon RCMP at 250-545-7171.
