Vernon's Teen Junction Youth Centre is hoping for some regional district support so it won't have to continue the annual struggle for funds to stay open. The Junction's Debbie Shiller was well-received as she made a pitch before the Greater Vernon Advisory Committee. She is hoping for 75-thousand dollars a year in funding to allow the centre to stay open 25 hours a week, 50 weeks a year. If not, Shiller says 66-grand would allow it to maintain a 20-hours a week operation.
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)
