The stage three water restrictions for Greater Vernon residents remain in place, but there are some changes. Mayor Wayne Lippert says the changes recognize that the Kal Lake source, which serves 75 per cent of the users is okay. Lippert says pools can be filled from 6 a.m. till 5 p.m. because that is the lowest usage time. And those who've just laid turf will be able to get a permit to water for two weeks at a time. And he says they're looking for three members from the public for the drought response team to help make revisions to the bylaws for next year.

What does this mean? Is it that those residences and businesses that are on this source (Kal Lake) will NOT be subject to same stage 3 restrictions as those on rgew Duteau Creek source??
Misleading comments by the Chair. Restrictions are equal throughout the Utility, at least that is what we voted for. Kal customers have the same restrictions as do Duteau Creek customers.
Lippert does not know what he is doing. There need have been no panic in the first place for those on Kal Lake water. The shortage is at Duteau. It is time to replace this guy and the rest of them on Greater Vernon Water.
I still say...WHY IS KAL ON RESTRICTIONS? The shortage is in the Duteau system. I realize it is not ideal to have some customers on stage 3 and some on 2, but the utility will be losing a ton of money for no real reason, and next year we will be the ones who have to make up the financial shortfall again.... Using the whole fair agument, then we should have all been on a do not drink notice when the Antwerp Springs wells were contaminated....
