Foster Responds to VJH and Prison - MLA takes issue with both

MLA Eric Foster isn't impressed with NDP Leader Adrian Dix solution to overcrowding at VJH. Foster says he's talked with the Health Minister and they're trying to figure out a solution to the overcrowding. Foster says its easy to make promises when you're not the person writing the cheque. Foster says  he's talked with the Health Minister and they're trying to figure out a solution to the overcrowding.

The MLA  is clarifying statements the Concerned Citizen's Group claims he made about the threshold it would take to support a prison in Lumby. The group protested outside the Liberal convention last weekend, attacking the MLA and Mayor and Council for proceeding with an application. Foster says, "I don't know where that came from, someone asked me one day what would you like to see and I said I'd love to see it go 70% one way or the other and that makes it easy. But this is just a simple referendum 50% plus one and the Village of Lumby voted 56% I believe it was."
