North Okanagan-Shuswap In Running For Worst Road in BC - BCAA contest ends next week

Three roads in the North Okanagan-Shuswap are among those in the running for the top ten worst roads in BC. While the contest is not yet over, Mabel Lake Road in Enderby currently sits in second place. Silver Star Road in Vernon is in sixth place and Falkland's Westside Road is right behind at number 7. The British Columbia Automobile Association says 35-hundred people have voted so far. BC residents have until May 24th to cast their vote (at www.bcaa.com/worstroads). Details of the winner will be sent...to the Ministry of Transportation.

Why Silver Star road is on this list is somewhat suspect.

The road is fine, but the idiots in their 3/4 4wd pickups who think it is a Le Mans course are the real problem.

The City of Vernon should pass a Bylaw that restricts the use of Long skate boards from using this road as well.

God help us if the TDM Mgr. gets involved with Silver Star road. It won't be wide enough then for two cars to pass in opposite directions.
