Cyclist Injured

A 26 year old Vernon cyclist has suffered serious injuries in a crash with a car. RCMP say it happened just after 8 last night at the intersection of 34th street and Coldstream Avenue. The man has been transferred to Kelowna hospital, police aren't saying if he was wearing a helmet.

Update 12 p.m:
A Vernon cyclist is in hospital with serious head injuries after crashing into a car.  RCMP say the 25 year old man was coming down the hill on 34th Street at a high rate of speed around 8 Tuesday night and collided with a vehicle making a left hand turn at Okanagan Avenue. The man is being treated in Kelowna hospital  Police spokesman Gord Molendyk says the cyclist was not wearing a helmet, and had no lights on the
