A former Vernon teacher and vice-principal has been absolved of any wrong doing. On Tuesday, Judge Alison Beams found Deborah Ashton not
guilty of all five counts in connection with an alleged sexual
relationship with a former student between 2002 and 2004. This was Ashton's second trial. A jury in the first trial could not reach a verdict on three counts over two days of deliberation in February 2011. More details to come at www.vernonmorningstar.com
