Funds being pumped into Greater Vernon recreation facilities

Upgrades are on the way at Greater Vernon recreational facilities.  On Tuesday, the provincial government unveiled $546,674 for four projects. "This represents a huge investment in the North Okanagan," said Eric Foster, Vernon-Monashee MLA. The projects include upgrades to the washrooms at Kin and Paddlewheel parks, a playground and expanded fitness centre at the Vernon Recreation Complex and turning the Lakers clubhouse on Cummins Road into a community centre.
