Has a winner already been crowned for Kraft Hockeyville?According
to a news release issued by PR Newswire, the Ontario town of
Stirling-Rawdon has won the national competition to receive $100,000 in
arena upgrades and a visit from CBC's Hockey Night in Canada. The
winner was supposed to be announced Saturday night at 7:45 p.m. Pacific
time. The District of West Kelowna was in the final five. The
news release issued at 10:45 a.m. Eastern time shows Stirling-Rawdon
beat West Kelowna by more than 1 million votes. However, by 12:30 p.m.
Eastern time, a retraction was issued. Phone calls to Kraft were not immediately returned. Andrew Deans, coordinator of West Kelowna Hockeyville, tells CHBC News the festivities will continue as planned. "There
was some sort of false press release that came out. We saw it. Kraft
saw it. We phoned them. It's been denied so that's where it's at right
