Ex-councilor joins BC Conservatives

A former Kelowna City Councilor has announced he is running for the BC Conservative Party. Graeme James announced Tuesday that he is running for the candidacy in the Kelowna Lake Country Constituency, as an alternative to the current government. "The people of Kelowna Lake Country are very disillusioned with the Liberal Government in Victoria and they remember what the NDP party did to the Province the last time they were in power." James says he had many residents of the area urging him to throw his hat in the ring. James Sutherland, the Regional Director of the BC Conservatives says the party is very excited to have a candidate of Graeme's quality and reputation running in the next Provincial Election. "The membership of this Constituency has been growing by over 3 per cent per month and with Graeme’s integrity and experience in public office we expect the membership to grow at an even faster rate” James also served as an appointed Director on the Central Okanagan Regional District, an elected director on the Okanagan Basin Water Board and the Sterile Insect Release Board.
James says his platform will strongly support agriculture, farmers, rancher and growers, as he himself has a background in farming and land use consulting.
