The group, which hosts the annual tournament and music fest, was hoping to get $7,200 dismissed, to help deal with escalating costs. GVAC chair Mike Macnabb says the board followed staff's advice. "The recommendation was essentially not to waive those fees.They do make a bit of a profit and we do see groups that struggle on a regular basis." The motion also noted Funtastic may be able to apply for a grant once the Regional District of North Okanagan develops its new policy for non profit groups.
