Kal Tire Founder Passes

A Vernon business legend has passed away. Tom Foord died Thursday in Vernon. Foord founded Kal Tire in the city in 1953, a business that has grown to 230 locations across Canada with four thousand employees.
Foord was awarded the Order of British Columbia in 2000. He was also presented with Vernon's Freedom of the City in 2007.
