There was an incident outside the Vernon courthouse involving the media and the family of two Cherryville men charged in the death of an Armstrong teenager. 58 year old Stephen Foerster is charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder, and obstruction of justice in the homicide of 18 year old Taylor Van Diest last Halloween. He made his second court appearance and was ordered to remain in custody until a bail hearing next week. His son, 26 year old Matthew Foerster is accused of second degree murder and remains in custody until another court date May 10th. Media members tell Kiss FM, two relatives of Foerster, a man and woman, were hostile with a CTV cameraman and a photographer outside the courthouse. The photographer apparently suffered a few cuts after allegedly being confronted by the woman. The man was observed to run at the CTV camera operator, and pushed the camera away. The incident was caught on tape by CTV, and by a CBC crew as well.
