DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)

Planner leaves Coldstream
The director of development services in Coldstream has tendered his resignation and will work his final day May 11. “It’s kind of been in the works for a while,” said Broderick of moving on. “It’s a great community, a great place, it’s just time for a change. I’ve been here over 10 years and was a planner at Vernon for over six.” He is moving on to work for Re/Max Commercial Solutions and also hopes to do planning and sustainability consulting and maybe even some consulting with municipalities. “So I’m sure I’ll still be attending council meetings, just in a different capacity,” said Broderick, whose wife Kathy also works on the residential side of Re/Max real estate. After serving as planner in Vernon, Broderick was Coldstream’s first in-house planner. Working on projects ranging from the Rosebush Gravel Pit to establishing trails in the community, he has enjoyed the position. But he admits, it wasn’t always rosy. “Every job comes with challenges, that’s why they call it work,” said the husband and father, who also respects the passion in the community, and plans to continue living there. “Many, many people really care about the community, whether they share the same opinion or not.”
