Vernon backyard slides 3 metres

Vernon, BC; The City of Vernon is assessing a slide that took place behind a home off Pottery Road overnight. About 30 square metres of backyard dropped about 3 metres. A Vernon City engineer is assessing the situation. Neighbours blame the City’s water system, which has broken and leaked twice recently, for making the street unstable. The homeowner has been told his house is safe to occupy while they assess the backyard slope. More tonight on CHBC News @ 5:30 pm.
