Fire roared through a home in Vernon late Monday. Firefighters from both the Vernon and BX-Swan Lake
departments responded to a call in the 1000 block of BX Road at just
past 11:30 p.m. "The fire was quite entrenched. The flames were 35 to
40 feet in the air when we got there," said Bill Wacey, BX-Swan Lake
chief. "There was nothing we could do. It was completely gutted." No one was home at the time of the fire. Vernon fire investigators are currently trying to determine the cause. Look for more details in Wednesday's Morning Star or at www.vernonmorningstar.com.
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)
