Cops in need of volunteer COPS


The North Okanagan Citizens on Patrol (COP) program wants you. The program, which assists police by patrolling areas they serve, is looking for volunteers in Armstrong, Spallumcheen and Enderby. Citizen patrols aid in the deterrence of crime in the community by supporting police efforts and acting as a second set of eyes and ears. prospective volunteers are required to complete and interview process and be able to maintain an enhanced security clearance. They must be 19-years-of-age or older and be able to complete the training program. Community minded individuals wishing to give back to the community, want to reduce crime in the North Okanagan and are pursuing a career in law enforcement or social services are encouraged to apply.
