Vernon banking in Valley First hands
Vernon has a new financial partner. The city has moved its banking activities to Valley First Credit Union. “We’re looking forward to our new relationship with Valley First,” said Kevin Bertles, the city’s finance manager. Vernon is the ninth municipality in the Okanagan-Similkameen served exclusively by Valley First. “We have a terrific relationship with all our local
communities,” said Roger Houle, Valley First’s assistant vice-president
of commercial banking. Valley First has had a presence in Vernon for almost
two decades and currently has one credit union and two insurance office
locations.
