A good news story from Vernon RCMP. A woman called police Tuesday saying she had found a large amount of cash in the parking lot of a local business. The woman --who was from outside the Vernon area-- says she noticed the bills blowing around, and did her best to pick them up. She then left a message with the business and contacted police. The RCMP's Gord Molendyk says it turns out the money had been dropped without being noticed by the business owner. He says the more than two thousand dollars has been returned to the owner. "The owners are very grateful for the honesty of this Good Samaritan," says Molendyk.
