Injured Man Found By Highway

Police responded to a report of a severely injured man at the intersection of Highway 97A and Grandview Bench Road near Grindrod around 8:20 Friday night. A 59 year old Enderby resident was found unconscious and laying on the shoulder of the road by a passing motorist. He was taken to Vernon hospital and is being treated for what police call very serious injuries to his head and torso. Officers suspect the man may have been hit by a passing vehicle as he walked adjacent ot the highway. Anyone who may have information on the collision is asked to call the Enderby RCMP at 250 838 6818.
