One of the recommendations contained in this report is to continue the $400,000 in taxes that was first levied in 2011.

(2011) There is a new RDNO Tax Requisition for Solid Waste (Dumps). This user pay system will be augmented with a $400,000 Tax Requisition on assessed property (Both Land & Improvements) for all regional partners. Vernon's share based on the 2012 assessment rolls will be $212,406. (This equates to about $10 year for the Vernon Ratepayer.)

Garbage & Recycling Rates Changes (2011)

 It's getting more costly to haul away people's garbage and recycling. Those services combined will cost an extra 12 dollars a year for Vernon homeowners in 2011.
