Penticton and Kamloops are among the latest B.C. cities to be chosen to host B.C Winter Games. Penticton will get the event in 2016, and Kamloops two years later. Abbotsford was awarded the 2016 Summer Games, and Cowichan Valley in 2018. The Games represent the largest multi-sport competitions held in the province. Greater Vernon hosted the Winter Games in 2012, while Surrey was home to last year's summer event.----------------
Don Quixote Note: The earliest possible summer games that could utilize the new proposed OC Sports Complex Track and Field Oval will be 2020.
