The public is invited to attend an election forum for the Vernon-Monashee candidates in the upcoming provincial election. The forum will be held at the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre on Monday April 29th starting at 7 pm. The forum allows candidates to state their platforms, and the public to ask questions both in written form and open mic. Pete McIntyre, News Director for Vernon's Kiss FM, will be the moderator for the forum. There will be no cost for forum participants or the audience, although we will be accepting donation from attendees which will go towards the purchasing of children's theatre tickets. These will be distributed by the Family Resource Centre. "We are pleased to provide citizens the opportunity to attend a neutral forum and to have the opportunity to identify where candidates stand on issues that affect their community," said Pamela Burns Resch, the Centre's Executive Director.
