Greater Vernon referendum details firmed up

By Richard Rolke - Vernon Morning Star Published: February 07, 2013 1:00 AM

Plans for a Greater Vernon referendum are moving ahead. Regional District of North Okanagan directors adopted the question Wednesday that will go before voters April 6. Residents will be asked to authorize the borrowing of $7.5 million to construct a sports complex at Okanagan College, with the funds repaid over 20 years. "Things are in place to go forward," said Patrick Nicol, chairperson. Polling stations have also been established for the referendum. See more details in Friday's Morning Star.
