Vernon RCMP are now explaining how they lost a patrol car this morning. At about 4:00AM today two officers from were responding in separate vehicles to a Prowler complaint in the Enderby area. The officer in the lead vehicle came into a curve near Valley Auction on Highway 97A on an icy roadway. He left the road on the right hand side and rolled the vehicle, coming to a rest on the passenger side. The four year member had to be extracted from the vehicle using Jaws of Life. He was examined by doctors and medical staff at Vernon hospital and has since been released from the hospital. The officer following behind going to the same call reported the incident . The highway was shut down for a short time and then reduced to single lane traffic while the accident was being investigated .
