DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)

Clear the roads, there's a new contractor
by Ragnar Haagen - Castanet Mar 22, 2013 / 12:54 pm
Provincial roads in the Okanagan-Shuswap will soon be maintained by JPW Road and Bridge Inc., who recently purchased the assets of Argo Road Maintenance in the area. That means the communities of Vernon, Armstrong, Spallumcheen, Falkland, Enderby, Salmon Arm and Sicamous will have a new road crew in place starting on March 29. All of Argo’s unionized staff in the service area – represented by the BC Government and Service Employees’ Union – will be offered jobs with the new maintenance contractor. And their rights of seniority and benefits from their current contract stay the same. Argo will also continue to maintain the roads and bridges in the service areas of the Thompson and South Okanagan. JPW Road and Bridge Inc.’s contract for Okanagan-Shuswap expires on March 28, 2019.
