Agricultural Customers in the Old
Kamloops and Bella Vista Areas will be without Agriculture- irrigation
water for 24 hours starting at approximately 7:00 Thursday morning.
Greater Vernon Water is working to determine that all agricultural water
lines have been identified and want customers with any taps used for
drinking water purposes have no water during this shutdown. The
project to separate the domestic and agriculture water lines has now
been completed in the Old Kamloops and Bella Vista areas. After June 24,
2013 the agriculture water will not be treated or chlorinated and must
not be used for human consumption. What should customers do? During
this 24 hour agriculture water interruption, there will be no water to
your agriculture water service. Please take the necessary measures to
ensure that you have enough water for your agriculture water needs
during this time.
