DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)

Support For New Facilities Plan
Written by Peter McIntyre Friday, 28 June 2013 06:04
The city of Vernon will be put in charge of running the Rec Complex, Civic Arena, and Kal Tire Place, under a new plan given initial support by local politicians. G-VAC chair Mike Macnabb says the current system has RDNO and Vernon both involved in the venues. "There's always some issues of trying to align who is in charge and stuff like that. This gets rid of that so it's entirely up to the city of Vernon," says Macnabb. RDNO administrator Trafford Hall says the current system has created confusion and disagreements in the past. "Now the city of Vernon will have care and control, not the regional district, and of course they have ultimate control over their own forces (workers). Now the person who has responsibility does have the authority," Hall tells Kiss FM. Coldstream, and Areas B and C would pay the city an annual grant for using the facilities, equal to what they pay now. The new system could start as early as the fall as the parties work towards an memorandum of understanding.
