Vernon is getting it's very own Cadet museum, the refurbished building at the military camp on hwy 97 will open Friday. Former Cadet Francois Arsenault, and Archive director Ron Candy have created displays with historic details from each of the 63 years the camp has been in operation. There are over 800 photographs, and one of the cabinets even contains the uniform of a Cadet Officer from the 1950's. Many of the items have never been displayed before. Volunteer donations have financed the project so far, but archives director Ron Candy says they are looking for donations and sponsors to complete and expand the project. A ribbon cutting for the museum will take place Friday at 3 pm.
