Some of Vernon's new parking meters are apparently creating issues for vertically-challenged residents. Councillor Juliette Cunningham says she and others have trouble seeing the meters. "They're high, and the display is at an angle and when the sun hits it, you can't really see it," Cunningham told her council colleagues. Cunningham would like to see the posts cut down a bit. City staff say they appreciate the feedback, noting the new credit-card-compatible meters are being used on a trial basis.
