DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)

Coldstream Joins Bylaw System
Written by Glen Morrison 107.5 KISSFM Thursday, 19 September 2013 06:00
Coldstream will become the 65th BC municipality to join the province's bylaw adjudication system. Vernon Monashee MLA Eric Foster says the process allows people who are disputing bylaw infractions to deal with them quickly outside a court room – saving everyone time and money. The issues are dealt with by an independent adjudicator. Attorney General and Justice Minister Suzanne Anton says the system avoids clogging up the court system. "Taking a matter to court can be a lengthy process. This system saves people time and helps reduce pressure on the courts without increasing costs to taxpayers." Coldstream plans to use the system to enforce a number of bylaws including zoning, fire prevention, traffic, and noise control, starting the end of this month. Mayor Jim Garlick is on board with the change. "The Adjudication System provides a simple, fair and cost-effective system for dealing with minor bylaw infraction and promotes the timely resolution of bylaw enforcement disputes."
