$5/year to sit on the Throne at Home. |
Vernon residents are paying more for sewer. It calls for a 2.5 per cent hike on base residential fees. The exact base change is from $48.98 to $50.20 quarterly or $4.88 a year. If council adopts the bylaw, the new rate will take effort for second quarter billing starting April 1.
-------
Don Quixote Note: There is no change in the 2.45m3 consumption charge/quarter (based on water consumption minus first 20m 3 free in first Quarter) for the Residential customer. The consumption charge is in addition to the new revised base rate charge of $50.20 per quarter.
COMMERCIAL RATES SEWER :
Basically there is an elimination of the minimum quarterly charge of $48.98 and it has been replaced by a base fee that every customer gets billed for of $52.07 per quarter. The consumption fee for Commercial remains at $2.54/m3 (80% of actual commercial consumption is counted) per quarter. These changes mean that for every business who has billed consumption of 24.1 m3 or more there will be a $52.07 INCREASE per quarter. For those with consumption below the 24.1m3 threshold your $ increase will be smaller.
