There is a strong local presence within the B.C. Conservative Party. During the party's annual general meeting in Vernon Saturday, delegates elected Salmon Arm's Tom Birch as president. He represented the party as the Shuswap candidate in the May provincial election. Elected as directors at large were Vernon's Scott Anderson and Lumby's Janet Green.Vice-president is Paul Redekopp of Abbotsford, while Party members will elect a new leader in April.
