NOTICE TO ELECTORS WITHIN THE REGIONAL DISTRICT OF NORTH OKANAGAN
Alternative Approval Process for the Proposed Starling Control Program Grant Service Establishment
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 86 of the Community Charter, that the Board of Directors of the Regional District of North Okanagan (the “Regional District”) seek the approval of the electors within the City of Armstrong, District of Coldstream, City of Enderby, Village of Lumby, Township of Spallumcheen, City of Vernon and all of Electoral Areas “B”, “C”, “D”, “E” and “F”; for the adoption of the Starling Control Program Grant Service Establishment Bylaw No. 2574, 2013.
The general intent of this proposed bylaw is to establish a local area grant service for a Starling Control Program in the Regional District of North Okanagan.
The Alternative Approval Process applies to qualified electors within the following areas within the Regional District:
City of Armstrong -District of Coldstream-City of Enderby-Village of Lumby-Township of Spallumcheen-City of Vernon- Electoral Areas “B”, “C”, “D”, “E” and “F”

Don Quixote Note: The potential budget for 2014 (If alternate approval process succeeds) is $25,390. An estimate based on 2012 assessments would produce tax requisition of:

For the purpose of this bylaw the published schedule of eligible voters will be used. The census totals for the First Nations people in area B of 3207 and Area F of 390 are not included but the eligible voters in these groups are allowed to participate in the Alternate Approval Process.
