Dogs-off Leash Parks in Greater Vernon

Residents and visitors are being encouraged to take advantage of the local off-leash parks in
Greater Vernon. “We have a number of great, fenced, parks where people can have their dogs
safely off-leash”, says Tannis Nelson. In mixed use parks that permit dogs, such as Marshall
Fields, dog owners are being asked to keep their dogs on-leash. “It is about ensuring the safety
of all users, while balancing the recreational needs of the community.” The public is being
reminded that removal or vandalism of park signs will not be tolerated and violators will be
charged.
