You may get a knock on your door from a person said to be representing Crimestoppers over the next few weeks. North Okanagan RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk says it's legit. "Crimestoppers has hired a fundraising group again that goes door to door selling the coupon booklets. The funds raised by the campaign go a long way to keep our program running throughout the year," says Molendyk. Molendyk says the sales-people have ID and yellow jackets, adding the campaign raised $9,000 last year. "The sales people will have identification. They are wearing yellow jackets with the Crimestoppers logo on one side and their company logo on the other, and they'll be here for the next couple of months," says the RCMP spokesperson.
