Greater Vernon water customers will continue to use the same source for the next few weeks. The Kalamalka Lake supply was shut off Monday due to increased turbidity from spring run-off and milfoil control. That's when all customers were switched to the Duteau Creek source. Water quality manager Renee Clark says they plan on using only Duteau until March. "There is still milfoil removal work in the North end of Kal Lake which can cause turbidity spikes," Clark tells Kiss FM.
That project by the Okanagan Basin Water Board is expected to wrap up the first week of March.
