The Downtown Vernon Association will try again today to get city council's support to hold Friday night downtown markets this summer. Council put off its decision to close part of 30th Avenue last month, wanting to make sure affected businesses supported the events.DVA president Nadine Wilson says 61 of the 66 businesses surveyed supported the market, or 93 percent. The plan is to hold the markets from June 12th to September 18th.
