Some new ideas are being tried-out at the O'Keefe Ranch. The heritage attraction will open for the new season May 9th, and manager Glen Taylor says they will be opening a new dog park. "O'Keefe Ranch has always been dog friendly, but you have to bring them on a leash. So, we're designating an area where people can let their dogs run. We've got a five acre parcel in there we are going to be converting to a paddock for the horses and then the far end by the hideaway we'll have an area that is going to be for dogs alone." Taylor says Ranch pass holders will get free access to the park, while others may have to pay a drop-in fee. Other plans include expanding the horse trails program, and moving ahead with the $100,000 restoration of St Anne's Church.
