The City of Kelowna has purchased a golf course. The city paid 5.4 million dollars for the Shadow Ridge Golf Club, an 84 acre site on Bulman Road, south of the Kelowna International Airport, that will be used for future growth of the airport. “The purchase of this property was exceptionally important,” says Airport Director Sam Samaddar in a news release. “As we’re unable to move the airport, we need to ensure that we have the available land to support the growth of YLW for future generations.” The golf course will remain open for the foreseeable future, with no changes anticipated.
