The issue of logging the Brown's creek area on the west side of Okanagan Lake could be solved in the next couple of weeks. The justice hearing arguments for injunctions has reserved decision , promising a ruling by December 4th. Tolko wants to go ahead on beetle kill on their timber licence while the Okanagan Native Alliance has been blockading them. Both sides are after injunctions with the alliance claiming watershed damage, trespass and fear of damage to historical evidence in their decade long battle with the province. Tolko has had provincial permits in place to log for over two years.
