The new city of Vernon budget has been finalized, and sent to Victoria for approval. Mayor Wayne Lippert calls it a good budget that's also a little easier on businesses which had to pay three times more than the residential rate last year. Lippert says he thinks at the end of the day it'll be good for everyone. The budget carries a general tax hike of 1.9 percent
