A community member appointed to the new Drought Management Committee in Vernon is a little frustrated last week's first meeting was cancelled. Lee Kazmar says he was hoping he would have a voice, but that was denied because the meeting was "cancelled till further notice". Kazmar has sent a letter to the Regional District asking his pool company be taken out of Stage 3 restrictions. He says residents should get to decide how they use any water allocation.

When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)

Water Restrictions also be addressed.
Water levels and restrictions will be discussed in a special meeting of the Greater Vernon Advisory Committee on Wednesday. Chairman Wayne Lippert says a recent workshop of directors led to a healthy discussion of changes that are needed. He says using information from the public and staff on how top better implement things will mean changes for the different users.
