The hunt for a missing Vernon man has ended tragically . Shortly after seven last night RCMP recovered 52 year old Gary Kurbis and his pickup in a bush area off Hartnel and Dixon Dam roads in the BX area north east of the city. He'd been missing for a week, last seen driving away from his home. Police and the coroner's service are still investigating. Kurbis had left a note saying he was dealing with some issues, but giving no indication of where he might have headed.
