Hospital Keys Turnover

A special ceremony will be held at Vernon Jubilee Hospital today.  Infusion Health --the company in charge of building the Polson Tower --  will hand the keys to the building over to Interior Health. Sara Grady from Infusion says it will bring an end to  two and a half years of construction, costing 180 million dollars.  The new seven story tower won't bring any new beds, but will include an emergency department, operating rooms along with a maternity-pediatrics ward. It will see its first patients in September after a training period for staff.   The NDP's new leader, Adrian Dix, will be there as well to offer sugestions on easing the overcrowding still afecting the hospital.
