The city of Vernon is planning about 8 million dollars in capital works projects this year. The two costliest are the Tronson Road Sewer Trunk and 29th Street reconstruction, both over a million dollars. Council members are being asked to give early budget approval to the
19 projects today, at the first of two special budget meetings at City
Hall. A study done for the city by a consulting firm recommends 13 million
dollars will need to be spent each year on infrastructure---over the
