DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)

Davies the big spender during Vernon's civic election
The three contenders for Vernon mayor spent a lot of cash in November. Now public documents reveal third-place finisher
Patrick Davies spent $31,208 on his campaign while there was $19,689 in
expenses for Rob Sawatzky who topped the polls and $10,900 for incumbent
Wayne Lippert, who placed second. Both Davies and Sawatzky self-financed much of their
campaigns, while the bulk of Lippert's funding came from individual and
business donors. Of the councillor candidates, incumbent Patrick Nicol had the highest expenses - $13,233. Nicol funded his own campaign. The deadline for filing civic election financial records was Monday. Look for more details in Wednesday's Morning Star.
